Reg Charity No:1183096
Who We Are and What We Do
To advance the education and welfare of the pupils and staff of St Mark's CEP school and the residents and children of the village of Hadlow Down, East Sussex. In furtherance of this objective the fund may provide and assist in the provision of such facilities, opportunities or items (not provided from statutory funds) as the trustees from time to time determine.
To assist in such ways as the charity trustees think fit in advancing the welfare and education of the St. Mark's school community, the residents, and children of Hadlow Down and the wider local community by developing their social, mental, physical and moral capabilities through leisure time and other activities.
Our Latest News
In the 2024/25 school year thus far, we have had a successful grant for £3000 (and a £500 donation from Wings To Fly) for a Sensory Room. We are also supporting the Spurgeon provision (with the help of a £5,250 grant from the National Lottery), the World War 2 Poet’s visit to the school this autumn, will be funding a visit by a local author for World Book Day in March 2024 and hope to be funding an art project in 2024.
*********
In 2023 Wings To fly arranged and funded a 'a taste of sport' event on the Village Playing field which was much enjoyed by the children (see photos attached!) and was well supported by parents and volunteers from the village. Going on from this we were delighted to be able to support Mr Luckhurst’s initiative for a Sports Week this summer (2024) with a £3,000 donation. As can be seen from the photos – a good time was had by all!

Meet The Trustees
The charity trustees are made up of school parents, governors and members of the local area, so we can promise that the best interests of the community will always come first.
In these uncertain times, with school budgets being cut, we felt the time was right to set
up a charity that can apply for grants and funding to support the school's community.
